Create a new affiliate account

You can create the affiliate account from within the GoAffPro app or use the signup page of your affiliate portal.

GoAffPro provides you with two options to pay the affiliates in your program:

Pay affiliates outside GoAffPro

This process outlines how to pay affiliates via bank transfer, debit card, and other methods.

1. Select the supported payment methods for affiliates from Settings > Payments section.

2. View the pending payments to affiliates from the Payouts > Payments section.

3. After this, you can make the payment directly to the affiliate, outside the GoAffPro app, and from the Payouts > Payments section.

Pay affiliates within GoAffPro

Pay with PayPal Payouts

To pay affiliates from within the GoAffPro app, you will have to integrate PayPal Payouts and use that to send money to affiliates.

1. Select PayPal as the supported payment method from Settings > Payments section.

2. Go to Settings > Integrations and set up PayPal Payouts.

3. After this, you can go to the Payouts tab, create a payout session, and make the payment using PayPal Payouts integration.

Pay with Store Discount Coupons

You also have the option to pay affiliates using store discount coupons from within the GoAffPro app.

1. Select Store Discount Coupon as the supported payment method from Settings > Payments section.

1. After this, you can go to the Payouts tab, create a payout session, and mark the payment as paid. The store discount coupon will be automatically generated for the affiliate and displayed in their dashboard.

In affiliate marketing, when an affiliate promotes your product through their referral link or code, they earn a commission on it. This system of marketing is based on the revenue-sharing model, where the merchant offers a financial incentive to people who promote their products.

Affiliates in your program can use social media platforms or blogs to promote your store products with their followers. The affiliate will earn a commission when any of their followers visit the store using their referral link and make a purchase. This model offers benefits to store merchants like a boost in sales and a wider reach.

Commissions are an important part of affiliate marketing

It is the money that the merchant pays to the affiliate for promoting their store and products. The affiliate benefits financially by earning a small commission on the sales they bring to the store.

Affiliates use their outreach by promoting products either on their website, which is dedicated to reviewing and promoting different products, or on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram or even reviewing products by making videos on YouTube or TikTok.

An example of commissions is:

If you have a product like a shirt that you sell in your store. Your objective is to sell as many shirts as you can. To drive sales up, you use GoAffPro, with which you set up an affiliate program for your store. Affiliates in your program will promote the shirt in your store, creating a higher demand for your shirt, and therefore, making more people buy it.

After a customer buys a shirt from your store using the referral link or code of the affiliate, GoAffPro records that sale and attributes it to them. The affiliate will earn a commission on this sale.

GoAffPro lets you handle commissions with ease, it lets you set commission rates as per your requirements.

The appeal of affiliate marketing is that it involves minimal risk, with no cost to set up, you pay the affiliate only when they get you sales on your store. If the margins are sufficient, then affiliate marketing virtually costs no money. It is significantly cheaper than traditional advertisements.

Commission rates

Commission rates heavily depend upon the product or service that an affiliate will be promoting. The rates mainly vary with the category and price of the product.

A great way to understand commission rates is by looking at how Amazon sets commission rates for its products:

Here we see that Amazon sets different commission rates for different categories of products, for more expensive products, the commission rates are higher compared to cheaper products.

High commission rates don't mean a higher revenue

Here, you have to calculate the revenue you earn from each affiliate's referral and set the commission rates accordingly.

GoAffPro makes it easier to set up commissions. In the Commissions tab, you have four types of commissions:

1. Default Commission

2. Product Commission

3. Collection Commission

4. Royalty Commission

Default Commission

GoAffPro lets you set up a default commission, which is the commission rate that applies to all the products and affiliates. It is the commission that will be applied by default. Any product purchased using an affiliate's referral will have this commission rate applied to it. The default commission will apply to all products except those, set with other commission types.

An example of default commission is, if you sell shirts and shoes in your store when you set the default commission rate to say 10%, the commission rate will be applied by default to all the shirts and shoes in your store. When a customer purchases any shirt or shoe in your store, the affiliate (whose referral the customer used) will earn a 10% commission from the sale.

When you set the default commission rate to say 5 percent. When an affiliate's referral is used to buy shoes worth $100, the affiliate, in this case, will earn $5 as a commission on it.

Product Commission

With product commissions, you can set different commission rates for particular products or affiliates. You have the choice of setting different commission rates for different categories of products. It is useful for setting up higher commissions on products that are more expensive, where your margins are high, and setting up a lower commission on products that are cheaper and have lower margins for you.

For Example, If you sell shirts and shoes on your website store, then with the product commission option, you can set a higher rate of commission for shoes that are generally more expensive than shirts. It will encourage affiliates to actively promote more expensive products that have a higher commission rate since they provide a higher financial incentive.

Here we have set up a 5% commission rate for shirts and an 8% commission rate for shoes, therefore, this will encourage affiliates to promote the shoe more actively. It will mean better margins for you (the merchant), with an increase in the number of sales of higher-priced products.

When the product commission rate is set to 5% for the shirt and 8% for the shoes and a visitor buys both of them. Then the affiliate referral used to buy the $50 shirt, will earn the affiliate a $2.5 commission, and for the $50 shoe, the affiliate will earn $4 in commission.

A higher rate of commission can also be set for products that have fewer sales, or for clearing the inventory of a product. Similarly, you can set up lower commission rates for products that are cheaper or have higher sales.

Collection Commissions

Collection commission is useful in setting up commissions for a collection or category of products. You can select the products that you want to add to a collection in your store and set a common commission rate for that whole collection.

It is useful in setting commissions for seasonal sales such as summer, and winter collections for clothes. It is also useful for setting up a higher rate of commission on products that need to be cleared from your inventory (like in a clearance sale). Affiliates will then be incentivized to promote these products.

For example, for collection commission, we can set up shirts such as these, in our store as a summer collection, where all of them will have a collection commission rate of 6%, this is useful in bringing newer stocks of products such as seasonal clothes and also clearing up earlier inventory.

Royalty Commissions

Royalty commissions are commissions earned on the sale of a particular product or collection that can be set for an affiliate. When a sale of that product or collection takes place, regardless of the affiliate who refers it, the affiliate (for whom the fixed commission is set) will earn a commission. It is also called a fixed commission.

For example, here we can set a royalty commission on the shirt for Affiliate A and the shoe for Affiliate B. When affiliate B's referral is used in the sale of the shirt or vice-versa, both affiliates A and B will earn a commission over that sale.

In specialized stores, that sell products where users can make designs or art submissions, royalty commissions are useful in getting these users (affiliates) commission every time there is a sale of their designed product.

GoAffPro provides you with the option to invite affiliates to your program.

To invite affiliates to your program, go to the All Affiliates section in the Affiliates tab of the GoAffPro admin panel.

Here, click on Create New Affiliate.

This will open up the Create Affiliate window.

Here, enter the affiliate's name and email address.

Now, enable the "Send Invitation Email" option.

After this, click on Create.

Finally, the affiliate account will be created.

The invited influencer/affiliate will receive an email inviting them to create a password for their account and access their dashboard.

Customize the invitation email that is sent out to affiliates:

Go to the Notifications section in the Settings tab of the GoAffPro admin panel.

Here, click on Customize Templates in the Affiliate's Notifications section.

Now, select the Affiliate Invitation email.

This will open up the email customization section, where the email can be customized.

GoAffPro provides you with the option to upload a list of your products.

To upload a list of your products, go to the SDK Settings section in the Settings tab of the GoAffPro admin panel.

Here, go to the Product List section.

Now, click on Edit.

This will open up the Product Manager section.

Now, click on Bulk upload.

Here, you can download the template file, to set up your product list.

After this, upload the file.

Finally, click on Add products.

The products will get uploaded. You can now set up commissions for them.

In affiliate marketing, coupons are an effective tool to convert visitors into customers. They help in bringing new customers, and therefore, help in expanding your reach. Using coupons can encourage first-time customers to make a purchase, who may be hesitant to buy products at full price.

On social media, it is common to see influencers selling or promoting products. In most cases, they will share a coupon code, that their followers can use to purchase the product. When their coupon code is used by customers to make a purchase, the influencer earns a commission on those sales.

Why use coupon codes?

Coupon codes have become an essential part of brand marketing strategy. Their effectiveness in driving sales and boosting customer engagement has made them an indispensable tool for businesses. They are now an indispensable part of a brand's marketing, and here are some stats to prove it.

Add the conversion tracking code in your BigCommerce store:

Open the BigCommerce Admin page.

Now, go to the Settings section.

Next, in the Advanced section, select Data solutions.

To integrate ThriveCart with GoAffPro SDK integration:

The collection commission option lets you set different commission rates for collections in your store. For example, You can set different commission rates for the new arrival collection, products on sale, seasonal collections, etc.

To set collection commissions for affiliates, go to the Referral commissions section in the Commissions tab of the GoAffPro admin panel.

Here, go to the Collection Commissions option.

Now, click on New Collection Commission.

To set up a custom security rule for GoAffPro, if you are using Cloudflare:

Open your Cloudflare dashboard and go to the Security > Security rules section.

Now, click on Create rule.

Next, select the custom rules option.

GoAffPro provides you with the option to set the commissions on pricing plans.

To set commission on pricing plans, go to the Referral commissions section in the Commissions tab of the GoAffPro

Here, go to the Commission rules section.

Now, click on New Commission Rule.

This will open up the New commission rule window.

Integration steps

All Pages

Embed the tracking script in all pages of your store. You can find this script in the Settings -> Advanced Settings tab -> Third Party Tracking section

GoAffPro provides you with the option to allow the app to call functions on your API.

To call functions on your API, go to the SDK Settings section in the Settings tab of the GoAffPro admin panel.

Here, go to the REST JSON section.

Now, click on Edit JSON Spec.

You can edit the REST JSON Spec to call functions of your API.

You can manually insert the tracking script from the Settings > Advanced > Third Party Tracking section in your store's theme file, and placing it just before the closing tag.

This should ensure that the tracking functions correctly and the toolbars (if enabled) are displayed.

1. To do this, navigate to your Wix dashboard and select Settings > Custom Code.

2. On the screen that appears, paste the code from your GoAffPro merchant panel, located in the Settings > Advanced > Third Party Tracking section.

Setting a custom domain name for your affiliate portal can improve your SEO (search engine optimization) efforts. It can increase your program's visibility in search engine results and lead to more affiliates enrolling in your program.

Set up the portal name for your affiliate portal

In the Look and Feel tab, go to the Store Profile section.

Here, in the Affiliate Portal section, click on Change.

This will open the change affiliate portal domain window. Here, you can select from various affiliate portal domain types:

• Subdomain of GoAffPro

• Subdomain of your shop

• Custom domain.

After this, click on Submit.

Add a new CNAME record for your domain.

Create a new CNAME record at your DNS registrar for your domain with the following values:

Set the affiliate portal as a custom domain

GoAffPro provides you with the option to set a default commission rate for your program.

The default commission applies to all the products and affiliates (unless a different commission rate is set for the product or affiliate).

To set the default commission, go to the Referral Commissions section in the Commissions tab of the GoAffPro admin panel.

Here, go to the Default Commission section.

Now, click on Change.

After this, you can choose between a percentage or a flat rate and set the commission rate.

Finally, click on Save.

You can expand your program by recruiting affiliates. GoAffPro provides various options for inviting or recruiting affiliates into your program. These options include:

Post Checkout Popup feature offers you the option to set up a popup to be displayed to customers, after they checkout on the order status/confirmation page. This popup informs the customers of your affiliate program.

The post checkout popup is a useful tool, that helps spread the word about your affiliate program. It displays a popup to customers on the order confirmation page (thank you page). This helps in recruiting more affiliates to your program.

GoAffPro lets you set up and customize the popup, to do that, enable the Post Checkout Popup.

After this, you will be given the option to choose the popup style you want to display to your customers.

The three types of popup styles that you can choose from are:

GoAffPro is compatible with the Shopify Point of Sale (POS) system. If you are operating a POS counter, you can utilize any of the following options to make the POS system work with our app:

Use Order Tags

• When creating the order via the POS system, ask the customer for the affiliate's referral code, name, or email address.

• After that, you can write any of these as the order tag while creating the customer's order in the POS system.

• Our system will automatically pick up the order and assign it to the affiliate.

Use Order Notes

• When creating the order via the POS system, ask the customer for the affiliate's referral code.

• After that, add the affiliate's referral code in the order notes, while creating the customer's order in the POS system.

• Our system will automatically attribute the order to the affiliate.

Use Customer-Affiliate Connect

• Before creating the order via the POS system, ask the customer for the affiliate's referral code, name, or email address.

• Use that to connect the customer's email address/account to the affiliate's account within our app.

• After that, the order you create for the customer will automatically get attributed to the connected affiliate.

Assign Sale to Affiliate

• When creating the order via the POS system, you can ask the customer for the affiliate's referral code, name, or email address.

• After creating the order, you can open our app, go to the Sales > All Sales section, and click on Create new sale manually.

• Here, select the order number and the affiliate. Finally, click on Assign Order.

Use Discount Codes

• When creating orders via the POS system, ask the customer if they have a discount code.

• After that, you can apply the discount code to the order.

• If the discount code belongs to an affiliate, the sale will automatically get attributed to them.

If your store checkout is on the Subbly platform, you can easily integrate it with GoAffPro by following the instructions below:

Open the setup wizard: https://app.goaffpro.com/wizard

Here, select Subbly.

This will open up the Subbly integration steps.

In the Subbly admin panel > Go to the Dashboard (of the website builder) > Navigate to the Site Settings and paste the code (in Step 1) in the Code Injection section.

After this, go to the > Paste the conversion tracking code (in Step 2).

To connect Thinkific order tracking with GoAffPro:

Open the setup wizard: https://app.goaffpro.com/wizard

Here, select Thinkfic.

This will open up the Thrive Cart integration steps.

In the Thinkific admin panel, go to the Settings > open the Code & analytics section.

Here, in the Site footer code section > Copy and paste the code (in step 4).

Now, select the Order tracking code section > Copy and paste the code (in step 6).

GoAffPro provides you with the option to set different commission rates for affiliates.

The affiliate commissions option lets you set different commission rates for affiliates in your program. For example, affiliate A can be set with a commission rate of 15%, whereas all the other affiliates will come under the default commission rate of the program.

To set different commission rates for affiliates, go to the Referral Commission section in the Commission tab of the GoAffPro admin panel.

Here, go to the Affiliate Commissions section.

Now, click on Set commission for an affiliate.

This will open up the Set commission for affiliates section.

Next, select the affiliates and set the commission rate. After this, click on Submit.

Finally, the newly set affiliate commissions will saved.

How do I pay my affiliates?

You have three ways to pay your affiliates:

1. You can pay the affiliate outside of our app and then in the Payouts tab within our app. This way, you can use any payment method you prefer, such as a bank transfer or debit card, to complete the payment on your end before marking it as paid.

To prevent unwanted/spam accounts from registering to your affiliate program, you can follow these steps:

• Disable Automatic Affiliate Approval

To prevent affiliate fraud and monitor misuse, we recommend the following:

• Enable the Detect Coupon Leaks feature.

Manually add tracking code in your WooCommerce store:

Go to the Advanced section in the Settings tab of the GoAffPro admin panel.

Here, go to the Third Party Tracking section.

Now, click on Copy to copy the tracking code.

GoAffPro provides you with the option to enable secure payloads for conversion callback.

To enable secure payload for conversion callback, go to the SDK Settings section in the Settings tab of the GoAffPro admin panel.

Here, go to the Secure Payload section.

Now, enable the toggle.

After this, you can copy the payload key to use it.

Integrate GoAffPro with your custom store:

Create a GoAffPro merchant account:

GoAffPro provides you with the option to set party plans for the commission group.

To set party plans for the commission group, go to the Groups tab in the GoAffPro admin panel.

Here, click on Edit Group.

This will open up the edit group section.

Now, go to the Party links configuration section.

Next, click on Configure

GoAffPro provides you with the option to set up the marketplace listing for your affiliate program.

To set up the marketplace listing for your affiliate program, go to the Marketplace tab in the GoAffPro admin panel.

Here, upload the store logo and icon.

GoAffPro provides you with the option to set the commission on sales with first-time customers (new customers).

To set the commission on sales with first-time customers, go to the Referral commissions section in the Commissions tab of the GoAffPro admin panel.

Here, go to the Commission rules section.

Now, click on New Commission Rule.

This will open up the New commission rule window.

GoAffPro provides you with the option to set the multi level commission for the commission group.

To set the multi level commission for the commission group, go to the Groups tab in the GoAffPro admin panel.

Here, click on Edit Group.

This will open up the Edit group section.

Here in the Multi Level Commission section, select the number of levels.

Now, set the MLM default commission for the group.

After this, click on Save.

Finally, the newly set MLM default commission will get saved for the group.

GoAffPro provides you with the option to recruit influencers in your affiliate program.

To recruit influencers in your affiliate program, go to the Recruit tab in the GoAffPro admin panel.

Here, you can filter influencers by niche, region, tags, country, and category.

Now, click on an influencer's profile.

This will open up the influencer profile.

Here, you can view the influencer's profile picture, bio, age, gender, niche, and country. You can also check the links to their social media handles.

After this, you can click on Send Invitation to invite the influencer to your program.

You also have the option to post a review for the influencer, by clicking on Post a review.

GoAffPro provides you with the option to set royalty commissions for affiliates.

The royalty commission option lets you set a fixed commission for your affiliates on products or collections. For example, if you set a royalty commission on product A for the affiliate, any sale of that product in your store will get attributed to the affiliate.

To set royalty commissions for affiliates, go to the Royalties Commissions section of the Commissions tab in the GoAffPro admin panel.

Here, go to the Royalties Commissions section.

Now, click on Set Royalties on a Product.

This will open up the Fixed Product Commissions section.

Here, select the product.

Next, choose the affiliate.

After this, set the commission rate.

Finally, click on Save.

The royalty commission will be set for the affiliate with that product.
