Coupons are an amazing way of extending discounts to customers, with coupons or promo codes, it is great for first-time customers who look to test your brand before paying full price. These types of deals incentivize consumers to make a first-time purchase.
Coupons are particularly useful when they are shared by your affiliates on social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube.
According to market research company A. C. Nielsen Co., 60 percent of consumers actively search for coupons and 95 percent of consumers look at coupons favorably.
In addition to bringing in new customers, coupons also encourage existing customers to make purchases and help in selling more high-value products.
In the Coupons tab, you will see the Coupon Based Commissions section, this can be used to assign coupons to affiliates. These coupons assigned to affiliates, when used by customers to make a purchase will earn the affiliate commissions as well.
The table shows the affiliates and coupons assigned to the affiliates.
Assign Coupon to Affiliates
To assign a coupon to an affiliate, click on Assign coupon to affiliate, here you can select the partner/affiliate and set the coupon code. Click on Submit to assign the coupon to the affiliate.
Automatic Coupons
Automatic Coupons can be used to automatically generate coupons for affiliates.
You can also generate coupons for existing affiliates by clicking on Create for existing affiliates
Here, you can choose the affiliates and generate coupons for them.
Generate Coupons for Existing AffiliatesYou can also change the discount that a coupon gives, by default, it is set to 10%, and it can be changed by clicking on Change.
Here, you can set the discount value of the coupons that will be generated for your affiliates, you can choose percentage or flat-rate and the value of the discount.
Additionally, you are given the option of limiting the coupon usage to one use per customer, the total number of times the coupon code can be used, and giving the discount only to new customers.
For more advanced control, click on the Advanced option, this opens up options that let you set the minimum order value under, which the coupon code will not be applied.
Also, you can limit coupon code discounts to products or collections, since you might not want coupons to be applied to newer products or collections. Click on Submit to apply the changes you made.
Automatic Coupon Style
In the Coupon Style option, you can choose the style in which the coupons are generated.
The coupon style option lets to set the style of the coupons in words that make it easy for both the affiliates to share and customers to use.
In the Automatic Coupons section, click on Change Style.
In the Automatic Coupons Style window, you will be provided with an option to change the style of the coupon code and some examples of the coupon code style will also be listed down below.
GoAffPro lets you set the style of your coupon codes:
You can choose the coupon codes style you prefer, this will automatically generate codes of the style you chose for your affiliates. There are four types of coupon code styles you can choose from:
Affiliate's Name: Here, the coupon code gets generated according to the affiliate's name.
Affiliate's Instagram Handle: Here, the coupon code gets generated according to the affiliate's Instagram handle.
Random Letters: In this coupon code style, the code that gets generated will comprise random letters.
Random Dictionary Words: In this style, the coupon code will be made up of random words.
Custom style: In this, you can create your own custom style for coupon codes.
The Affiliate's Name coupon code style is quite popular among influencers. This helps them promote their branding among their followers. This gives the coupon codes that are generated for the affiliates a more personalized touch. This also translates into better merchant-affiliate relationships.
To save the changes you made, click on OK.
Change Style of Generated CouponsAutomatically apply discount
The Automatically apply discount option can be used to apply the discount codes automatically at the checkout when a customer visits the store using an affiliate's referral link.
There is also an option to set a default coupon code, that will automatically get applied to the referral links of affiliates without an assigned coupon.
Automatically Apply Discount CodesDetect Coupon Leaks
The Detect Coupon Leaks feature notifies you when an affiliate coupon code get leaked on coupon sites.
To view the leaked coupon codes, click on Change.
Here, you can view the leaked coupon codes. After taking the appropriate action, you can click on Mark as actioned to remove the code's notification.
Personal Coupons
The Personal Coupons option can be used to automatically generate personal coupons for affiliates. Any purchase made using these personal coupons will not generate any commission for the affiliate.
To change the discount type or value of the personal coupons, you can click on Change.
Here, you can set the discount type and discount value. You can also set usage limits for the personal codes.
